This large Louis XVI style fireplace was made of oak wood during the 19th century. The carved decoration is typical of the Louis XVI style: curved consoles are decorated at the top with overturned shells and acanthus leaves at the bottom. At the center of the entablature, there is a foliated carved medallion.
The wooden element which is on the top is can be easily removed.
This antique fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert.
