Main gate with 100 linear feet of railing

Napoleon III iron main gate and fence, for a large proprety. Wrought iron posts decorated with volutes surround the gate. The vertical rods are topped with pikes of different sizes. These gates came from a very large property and were built in Saint Amand Les Eaux (in the North of France) in the second half of the 19th century for the marriage of a brewer's daughter to a Russian aristocrat, a descendant of the Nicolov family.

This pair of vases with bamboo decor was crafted by the Baccarat crystal factory around 1880. Regency style trumeau in gilded wood and trompe l'oeil marble from Campan, early 19th century

This Regency style overmantel was made at the beginning of the 19th century in trompe l'oeil imitating Campan marble. It is composed of a highly oxidized mercury mirror in three parts framed by a wooden rod gilded with gold leaf, adorned with a frieze of pearls and acanthus leaves. The mirror is flanked by two rectangular panels framed by gilded wooden rods, each with a medallion in the center decorated with a flower in a scroll and acanthus leaf design and a shell at the base in interlacing acanthus leaf. The top of the mirror is decorated on each side with volutes of gold leafed.

Louis XV period mantel in Alep Breccia with a winged shell

This very beautiful mantel is a work from the South of France, dating from the late 18th century. It was made of Alep Breccia marble and shows a rare sculpted decoration on its serpentine entablature. It is composed on its center with a large Rococo winged shell underlined by an oblong moulding. The corners are decorated with large curved acanthus leaves. The entablature rests on jambs slightly swollen on their upper part and with a paneled decoration.

Fireback depicting saint Hubert in the forest

This fireback was made of cast iron in the 19th century. It is adorned with a scene depicting saint Hubert. Born in the French nobility, they say he was so passionate about hunting that he forgets his duties. One day that he pursuing a stag in the forest, he heard : "Hubert ! Until when are you going to pursue beasts in the forest ? Until when does this vain passion will make you forget the salvation of your soul ? ". As he was kneeling, the voice keeps going "Go to Lambert, my bishop, in Maastricht and convert yourself." Hubert is in the majort part depicting kneeling in front of a drag with a cross above its head as we can see on our fireback.

Large Regency-style mantel richly carved in violet breche marble

This Regency style fireplace was made in the late 19th century in violet breche marble. In the center of the lintel, it is decorated with a complex motif: in the center, a flower with regular petals, framed by a heart-shaped pattern holding hanging leaves, itself surrounded by foliage. On both sides, characteristic patterns of the rocaille style and plant scrolls increase its size. Moldings adorn the sides of the lintel following the lines of the mantelpiece, but are interrupted symmetrically by two small circles. The jambs follow a slight curve and are decorated with a simple molding. Hot-air vents are on each side of the mantelpiece.

Louis XVI style Arabescato marble mantel with half-columns

This Louis XVI-style fireplace with half-columns is sculpted in Arabescato marble. Arabescato marble is a white marble with gray or black veins. It is one of the white marbles of Carrara, and its main quarries are located in the Carrara basin in Italy, at Seravezza Lucca. The band of the fireplace is simple, adorned only in moldings. The console part of the legs is decorated with acanthus leaves, as are the Corinthian capitals. Below this capital, the shaft of the half-column is fluted and tapers to the base. The fluting is varied, first hollow and then curved. This fireplace is accompanied by its cast-iron interior, also in the Louis XVI style, with its crown of bows and ribbons mixed with two spears. The presence of ribbon motifs and motifs borrowed from Greek Antiquity allows us to qualify this fireplace as Louis XVI-style.

This semi-statuary marble fireplace is in the Louis XVI-style. This style is reflected in the use of foliage and ribbons, the pilasters, and the shape of the band, which refers to Ancient Greece. The band of this fireplace is divided into three parts. A rectangular central section with a smooth base carved with a garland of flowers hanging from ribbons. The other two parts are symmetrical, on either side of this central motif, fluted throughout. The console part of the leg is decorated with a floral motif based on acanthus leaves and a central button in relief. The rest of the leg represents a pilaster in which field flowers are placed. This fireplace comes with its original cast-iron interior featuring intersecting leafy branches forming a regular geometrical pattern.

In the circles of the frieze are flowers formed by the arrangement of leaves. This blend of nature and ancient Greek motifs is typical of the Louis XVI-style. On the console part of the leg, the leafy flower motif continues. Framed in a square, acanthus leaves come together to form a flower with a raised bud in the center. The upper part of the leg is curved, giving way to wide scrolls on the sides. On the front of the legs, acanthus leaves follow the leg’s shape. The rest of the fireplace is decorated with fluting, adding depth to the legs. This fireplace comes with its original cast-iron interior. In keeping with Louis XVI-style motifs, field grasses are depicted in the interstices of a regular Greek frieze, and acanthus leaves define and cover the corners of the cast iron interior.
