This elegant Louis XVI style fireplace was made in the first half of the 19th century out of Semi-Statuary Carrara marble.
The front is carved in low relief with waves centered by an acanthus leaf. The endblocks are carved with paterae flowers on both sides. The detached columns are in form of tapered and fluted jambs ornamented with rudentures and plants, resting on footblocks. This model is rare and quite exceptional.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
