This Louis XV style mantel, remarkable thanks to its important dimensions, was made at the end of the 19th centuy in Fleur de Pêcher marble.
Its sculpted decor is typical of the Louis XV style. It is composed of a beautiful shell with leaves that is adorning the center of the serpentine entablature, which is underlined by an oblong moulding. Its lively shape is emphasised by the jambs adorned with scrolls and the shape of the slab.
The entablature's thickness on the shell center is about 18 cm. The one of the feet is 16 cm.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
