This mantel was made in the late 19th century in a beautiful Portor marble.
It's the Bolection model typical of the Louis XIV style, of which the moulding follows the lines of the jambs and the entablature. The sober decoration is brightened up by the white and golden veins constrasting with the black color of the marble.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
