This beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made in the 19th century. Large in size, it bears an entablature with flutes and decorated with oval rosettes, holding on two strong consoles. These, slightly curved with volutes, are adorned with panels and bells of laurel. Acanthus leaves sculpted on the sides of the consoles attract the eye on the finesse of the sculpture. A ribbon at the center of the jamb emphasizes their elegance. The Paonazzo marble of this beautiful fireplace has a pink cream tone, streaked with black veins.
Both sides of the fireplace are paneled.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
