This beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made out of Serravezza marble in the 19th century. The curved frieze is fluted over its entire length. The fluted entablature is supported by rolled legs, crowned by finely carved square rosettes.
Serravezza marble is a marble from Carrara region in Italy, veined with gray-blue on a cream background color.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (subject to the choice of the marble).
