Extremely sober antique Louis XVI style mantel carved in Carrara slighty veined marble. The straight jambs are fluted as are the heads. The fluting is filleted at the bottom of the jambs. The entablature presents a plain recessed rectangular panel. The design is of classical architecture inspiration, typical of the Louis XVI style.
