This beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace was realized in White Carrara marble during the 19th century. The carved decoration is rich and refined. Jambs with windings are ornated with flutings decorated with ribbon. The upper part of the legs is decorated with acanthus leaves. The frieze bears in its center a foliaged medallion framed by molded panels outlined with rows of pearls.
The sides are paneled.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
