This fireplace was made during the 19th century out of white veined Carrara Marble.
Several Louis XVI style ornaments are finely carved with acanthus leaves such as : oval paterae in the center of the front, square paterae on the breakfront endblocks, and leaves on the curved jambs.
This fireplace is sold with its original three square marble floor and with a modern cast iron insert.
