This beautiful Louis XVI style fireplace with a slightly arched entablature was made out of Turquin Blue marble during the 19th century. The jambs, curved at the top, feature a simple winding and are fluted. The moulded entablature is enhanced by a frieze of gilded bronze pearls. The square rosettes placed at the top of the jambs are also made out of gilded bronze. The sides are decorated with air vents.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. A marble floor could be made to order.
