Beautiful antique Louis XVI style mantel in the “oak leaf” style. Indeed, the deeply grooved jambs rise to drop oak leaves. The heads above are adorned with low relief square rosettes, as is the center front of the entablature. The curve of the jambs adds a softness to the mantel.
