Antique Louis XVI style oak leaf model mantel from the 19th century. The oak leaves, here, drop upon the corbel shaped jambs, which are slightly curved and carved with molded grooves. The entablature ornaments are typical of the Louis XVI style : two recessed panels flank a central oblong rosette. The heads are adorned with square rosettes. The use of Arabescato marble ads to this mantel’s beauty.
