White mantel modeled after the Pompadour model. The ornaments and canted jambs are definitely Louis XV in style as are the use of molded panels on the jambs and front. Also its three upsidedown shells, are a Rococo classic. Although curved the composition remains symmetrical. Sold with its original enameled insert.
