This antique Louis XV style fireplace was made in the 19th century in Portor marble, a very rare and very precious marble. The Pompadour model, in honor of King Louis XV's favorite, is characterized by rounded bracket feet and a frieze adorned with oblong moldings carved on both sides of the central medallion. The winding jambs are slightly curved. The yellow veins of the luxurious Portor marble are like gold sinuosities and give a certain sophistication to this fireplace which is both simple and elegant.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order depending of the availability of the marble.
