This antique Louis XV style fireplace was made of Enjugerais marble during the 19th century. This is the Pompadour model which is characterized by a frieze adorned in its center with a medallion. It is supported by two winding and canted jambs. The curves of the piece are underlined by the oblong moldings.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without the original marble floor. This one could be made to order.
