This antique Louis XV style fireplace was made in the 19th century. This fireplace is richly decorated with a typical Louis XV style decor very finely carved in luxurious Carrara marble with a slightly ecru patina. The jambs are embellished with small flowers and acanthus leaves before ending with a shell at the frieze. In the center of it, is a large shell adorn with large acanthus leaves. On both sides, two small rosettes have been delicately carved.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
