This antique Louis XV style fireplace was made in the 19th century in a beautiful Carrara marble. In the center of the frieze is a large bouquet of subtly carved flowers adorned on either side with oblong moldings. The canted and paneled jambs are adorned on their top with rolled shells decorated with small acanthus leaves.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
