Cast iron fireback representing a Phoenix from the 18th century inscribed with the words: « Flames sont fleurs où je repren ma vie » (Flames are the flowers where I take back my life ). Among a nest of curlicue foliage and flowers, the Phoenix is shown being reborn from its ashes in accordance to legend.
