Greek God of Arts and Music, Apollon is represented on this beautiful antique cast iron fireback made during the 18th century. Resting on a radiating cloud and surrounded by vegetal, Apollon is standing and holding a lyre in his right hand, like he normally does.
Apollon sits within a rocaille inspired frame, characteristic of the 18th century and the Louis XV style.
The square fireback is curved at the top.
